Number recognition~

We as Early Childhood Educators, parents, caregivers, grandparents and others, know that children all grow at different space and speed.

We can always help them to develop the skill and build a foundation for more complex with fun counting activities👶

👶I always encourage my toddlers to start counting fingers & toes and body parts.

👶 Next I had introduced them to abacus 🧮 and counting big beads.

👶 Slowly I moved on to counting their favorite toys.

👶 Nature’s treasure are great way to learn counting. DIY sticks ( colour and write numbers)

👶 In my post I used pumpkin seeds, wooden blocks and rocks.

👶 We counted the rocks and also matched with the numbers.

Note: In this activity, the toddlers will understand one to one correspondence, sequencing, counting and sorting~ all in one simple activity👶
