❤️Messy sensory play ~ some love it, some absolutely hate it!
Exploring paint in a ziplock bag!!
Some of you might think 🤔 why in a ziplock bag, right? The reason why I chose paint in a ziplock bag is, some of the toddlers are not quite comfortable to explore paint, using palmer or pincer grasp. For some may be this is first time they’ve been exposed to sensory play. Once they are comfortable, they will join their peers exploring paint in a sensory bin.
🖍I added a few painting tools (rolling wheels ) to create patterns and designs, white paint with green and sprinkled salt in the red paint.
💚They were keen to mix the colours and see what happens next. Some of them rubbed their hands on the ziplock bag with salt and red paint.
❤️Throughout this play experience, they learnt how to mix colours, create their own patterns, lines, dots, swirls, and zigzags! This sensory play provoked some interesting ideas about mixing colours .
😊Let me know if you have any children in your classroom who doesn’t enjoy sensory or messy play? Would love to hear and your ideas on that take.🖌
